I am back with another exciting project I just created. I altered an embroidery hoop, it can be a wall decor or just simply a decor you can leave on a dressing table of a girl.
Let’s look closely into the project.
I used the steampunk clock chipboard from creativeembelishment as my main piece in the work, as suggested in the challenge post at artplayground.
I have used many products from finnabair Prima, on my project. I enjoy using a lot of mediums on my projects to emphasize my embelishments and layout as a whole.
The colour scheme at artplayground as shown below has also inspired me to choose the colours that I have used on my layout.
Along with this I was also inspired by the moodboard at mixedmediaandart challenge for May.
I just loved the colours in this moodboard and the layout inspired me to arrange my elements the way I have on my project.
Thank you for dropping by!
I am back with two mixedmedialayouts I created for mother’s day.
I am entering this to also the May challenge at Creative Embellishments.
The vintage elements on my project are the botnical collection chipboards.
I am entering these for mixed media place May challenge. The inspiration for which is below.
These are some of the challenges I am entering.
I am back with another exiting tutorial on my YouTube channel a wooden light house using the patina paste effect by Prima.
Just recently Prima came up with their Finnabair line products at Micheals here in Canada and U.S. so I got a chance to grab many of those awesome products! Than I thought hmm.. I have shopped enough now it’s time to alter something. That is when I decided I would alter the light house I had bought a while a go with the patina paste effect by Finnabair. It was easy to use and am really surprised with the results.
You can check out the tutorial here on my YouTube channel:
Supply List: Gesso, White Finnabair Sand texture paste, Fishing net (my tutorial video for DIY net I used in this video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqN_T…), Spray inks in colour yellow and ocean blue (I used DIY inks made from Wilton food colouring), Prima Finnabair Patina Paste Effect set, Embelishments (Made from Glue Gun and Model Magic using the mod podge ocean mold)
I created this light house for the Mixed Media Place March Challenge. Challenge details can be found on their blog Mixed Media Place: March Challenge.
The source of inspiration is the mood board from Mixed Media Place March Challenge.
I am also entering into the Mixedmedia & Art: April Challenge Deep Inside
I was inspired by the rusty texture in the photos and the old vintage and worn look of the photos.
Thank you for dropping by!
Until next time keep smiling!

This is a page from my recent mini journal I have created.
This journal page was inspired by the February challenge on creative embelishment.
I was inspired by the colour of the rose and the theme of love which is represented by the old memrobillia. The way I incorporated the script is through a background stamp.
Here is a look at the page.
– Gelatos by FaberCastell
– texture paste by Liquitex
– diamond shape stencil from DCWV Stencils Paper pack
– script stamp by Recollections
– heart stickers from Dollarama
– i love you tittle from tim holtz occasions chat

I am back with another project I created as a present for my dear husband as a anniversary present.
I believe anniversaries are those milestones in any relationship that are meant for reliving your past memories that you spent together. That’s why I have made a tradition where every year on our anniversary I give my husband a present that is handmade by me. During my first year I gifted him a big photo frame with photos of us and our families as he was far away from his family and was missing them. Second year I made a plaque with a quote. Third year a sweet album with photos of us. Finally this year I thought to do something special as it was a 4th milestone in our marriage. I made him a shadow box as shown below:
Some close ups of this are as below:
The products I used for this are:
*Art Basics Heavy black Gesso *Art Basics Texture Paste – White Sand *Heidi Swapp Colour Shine – Ocean *stencils *scrap pattern paper *cheese cloth *white and brown burlap *Hemp cord *shells and star fish *wooden anchor * Flowers by Recollections *Gems *gold, blue and white sequence *Ocassions -Tim Holts Small Talks *Art Ingredients Mica Flakes *Creative Embelishments Moroccoan Lattice Panel
This month I am playing along with few challenges as below:
- The first challenge I am playing along is the Creative Embellishments January Challenge. The things I took from this image is celebration of a new beginning. For my husband and I our anniversary comes near to the new years, so this is a moment for us where we celebrate our relationship. Also I took the colour black from the background and added some gold accents to my project using Mica Flakes and lots of gold detailing. I also used Creative Embellishments Morrocan Lattice Panel to add some texture and details to my project. Here is the Creative Embelishment Blog Post & to participate in this Challenge here is their Facebook Page. They have some awesome products check their website and also blog for ideas.
- Second challenge I am playing along is the Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge# 34. Please check out their website for some awesome inspirations.
